In implementing foreign and economic policies of the Republic of Lithuania, the Bank of Lithuania, within the range of its competence, co-operates with foreign and international financial institutions: the International Monetary Fund, World Bank Group, Bank for International Settlements, other organisations and central banks of foreign countries. The Bank of Lithuania also represents the Republic of Lithuania in international financial institutions.
