Currently, 9 commercial banks holding a license from the Bank of Lithuania, 8 foreign bank branches, financial institution controlled by EU licenced foreign banks providing services with established branch, 2 foreign banks representative offices, Central credit union of Lithuania and 68 credit unions, 226 EU banks providing cross-border services in the Republic of Lithuania without a branch operating in the country, and 3 financial institutions controlled by EU licenced foreign banks providing services without a branch.
