The Museum of the Bank of Lithuania was
founded in 1994. In 1999, it reopened at new premises
(Totorių Street), where new expositions were set up. The
Museum of the Bank of Lithuania has been an institutional
member of the Lithuanian Association of Museums since
1998 and, since 2000, of the International Council of
Museums (ICOM).
The Museum presents exhibits related to the development
of banking and monetary relations in Lithuania, videotapes
on the Bank of Lithuania, production of currency and its
security features. Excursions and lectures on specific
topics can be arranged subject to booking in advance.
